A story of hope! Jessie J details her powerful motherhood journey in a forthcoming post as she drops precious family moments with her miracle baby.
The sensational songstress is one of the most recognizable entertainers in the world, given her status as a powerhouse vocalist. Outside music, the English entertainer has amassed a significant following for her refreshingly honest views and open nature.
A subject the 35-year-old has never shied away from discussing is herself, especially the difficulties she faced while trying to conceive a child. The “Price Tag” artist recently reflected on her pregnancy struggles, sharing her emotional song about this challenging period.
Jessi J Reflects On Her Tumultuous Past As She Shares Rare Pictures Of Her Baby Boy
On June 20, the Londoner updated her Instagram with a stunning photo montage created by her talented older sister Hannah Macgregor. The adorable pictures captured the new mom in several wholesome moments with her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman.
The “Bang Bang” singer welcomed the little angel with her Danish-Israeli boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, in May 2023. The sentimental carousel set to the entertainer’s 2018 hit song, “Four Letter Word,” showcased the family of three bonding in sweet snaps.
The opening scenes gave viewers different shots of Sky yawning, sleeping, breastfeeding, smiling, and even staring curiously at the camera. There were images of the boy receiving kisses from his dad alongside pictures of the basketballer cradling the little boy in his arms.
More touching scenes showed Jessi and her beau looking head over heels for each other with their son between them. The “Flashlight” artist also had solo moments with her son, posing shirtless on a bed with the newborn resting on her chest.
These pictures, among other heartwarming shots, proved that no one was more grateful for the baby’s birth than the Londoner, who previously suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. Detailing her fertility issues, the 35-year-old captioned the post with a lengthy message about her past, writing:
“I wrote this song years after being told I couldn’t have children in 2014. In 2015 I was told I needed a hysterectomy to cure the pain I felt most days. I said no, thank you.” Instead of following her doctor’s opinions, the Grammy nominee changed her diet and “took a spiritual healing journey.” Continuing her rollercoaster story, the media personality noted “hope” kept her from falling into despair.
“In 2021, I lost a baby, but I never gave up hope. Ever. Not once. I hope that whatever way I become a mother will always come to me at the right time. Naturally or not. I wanted to have a baby…” the proud mother of one confessed.
As fate would have it, her son came as a pleasant surprise during her journey to Rio, Brazil, in September 2022. The English songwriter discovered she was pregnant at the airport, stating she “fell pregnant in the Sky.”
Reflecting on her emotions while creating her “Four Letter Word” song, the 35-year-old noted the track felt “different now.” Jessie also shared her motherhood experience, adding, ” This is the end of the baby spam. But it won’t be. I have never felt more in my body and purpose than now. Who I am as an artist is who I am in my life. Being a Mum is now a huge part of my identity and existence, and I will celebrate it at every chance I get.”
The showstopper concluded her caption with a shout-out to her big sister for taking the snaps when Sky was “11 days old.”
The Brit Award Winner Penned An Emotional Letter Announcing Her Son’s Birth
This is not the first time the “Ice Age: Collision Course” voice actress has opened up about her son’s impact on her life. Last month, the media personality shared a sentimental note to fans while announcing Sky’s arrival.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the “Masterpiece” singer penned a lengthy message explaining how she felt following her son’s birth. According to the 35-year-old, her “whole life changed” with the newborn’s presence.
“My son entered this world, and my heart grew twice the size. The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love. He is magic. He is all my dreams come true,” the Silver Clef Award recipient gushed.
Jessie noted that she and Sky were “doing great” before expressing her gratitude to God for blessing her with the little angel. The Londoner concluded her post by thanking fans for following her emotional journey, promising to return to Instagram when ready.
