The Fulfilling Stunts of Chris Hemsworth in Extraction 2

The 39-year-old actor made it clear that he’s not criticizing his work in movies like “Thor: Ragnarok” or “Avengers: Endgame.” The Russo brothers, who directed “Infinity War” and “Endgame,” are producers on the “Extraction” films. However, the “Extraction” films are a different type of film. While CGI is necessary for certain elements in superhero movies, Tyler Rake exists in a realistic world where he goes up against genuine villains. Director Sam Hargrave successfully takes advantage of this grounded nature.

Besides the satisfaction that comes from performing practical stunts, there is also danger involved. Despite thorough preparation, there is always the possibility of something going wrong when attempting to land a helicopter on a train or lighting a person on fire. “The most intense part was not so much the exhaustion levels,” Chris Hemsworth said, “But just the sheer terror of all the things that could have gone wrong, but thankfully didn’t.”

“Extraction 2” will be available on Netflix on June 16, 2023. You can also read the official synopsis for the sequel below.
