In an effort to keep things exciting and keep fans on their toes, Swift has been adding two surprise songs to her setlist each night of the tour. During the opening night of the tour, Swift announced this gimmick, stating that the goal is to play different songs each night and never repeat one. However, she humorously added that she might have to perform a song again in another city if she messes it up too badly. The Eras Tour setlist already consists of 44 songs, making it understandable if Swift occasionally loses track. Nevertheless, fans were thrilled to hear the surprise songs she has performed so far, and the setlist will continue to be updated throughout the tour.
