Microsoft is positioning Starfield as its biggest game of the year, evident from the 55-minute deep dive that aired after the Xbox Games Showcase. The RPG also boasts a stunning Constellation Edition and similar to Forza, players will be able to access it on Game Pass on day one. However, players can gain early access by purchasing the Starfield Premium Edition available digitally and physically. It includes the Shattered Space story expansion, up to five days of early access, the Constellation Skin Pack, and digital artbook and original soundtrack. The physical version comes with a Steelbook Display Case and a Constellation Patch. The Starfield Premium Edition costs $100, or players can upgrade the base version for an additional $30. Both versions provide access to play the game on Friday, September 1. This strategy has proven popular for Forza with over a million players purchasing the more expensive Premium Edition to gain early access. Based on the anticipation for Starfield and excitement from the showcase, it is expected to be a big success for Xbox.
